Do garage doors have to meet hurricane code?
Miami-Dade and Broward counties are the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) under the Florida Building Code. Garage doors installed there must meet the HVHZ requirements, and in the HVHZ, products must carry an approval for the zone, such as a Miami-Dade County Notice of Acceptance (NOA).
